Why Alpaca?

There’s so much to love about alpaca. It’s beautifully soft, warm and lightweight, with a lovely natural drape that makes it a joy to knit with and even better to wear. It feels gentle against the skin without being heavy, making it perfect for everything from cosy scarves and wraps to baby pieces and softly draped garments.

We also love the story behind the fibre. Alpacas have been raised in the high Andes for generations and are an important part of the region’s landscape, culture and rich textile tradition. They graze lightly on the land and use natural resources efficiently, while their fibre is natural, renewable and biodegradable. For us, alpaca brings together so many things we value — beautiful natural fibres, thoughtful craftsmanship and a connection to where our yarn comes from 🤎
