Home made Granola is quick and easy to make and divine baking smells waft through the house! This one is refined sugar free.
GRANOLA RECIPE
3 cups of rolled oats (the nice jumbo sized ones)
1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
1 cup of walnuts
1 cup of coconut thread
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of cardamom
Mix all the above together and then add the following:
2 tablespoons of almond butter
1 tablespoon of rice syrup or organic pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon of coconut oil (melted)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Mix well, bake at 180 degrees celsius for about 20 minutes - or until golden brown, mix several times during baking to evenly cook. If desired add some dried fruit with five minutes to go eg. one cup of dried cranberries.
Allow to cool then place in a large jar for storage.
