One of my favourite aspects of knitting is the textures! Different yarns, different colours, different stitches all have a part to play in the beauty of textures. It's the thing that keeps me going back for more. Whether I'm knitting cotton, mohair, alpaca, merino or pretty much any fibre, I love to stop and feel the fabric as it grows and changes. It might be a very fine shawl or a super chunky blanket - the overwhelming tactile effect of the textures is what gets me most.
