The Mini Moss Jumper knitting kit pairs soft Unravelled Oi Merino with a double moss stitch pattern and raglan detail for an everyday knit for little ones.

Designed by Sheryl Nicholson, founder of Unravelled, this jumper is knitted in the round on circular needles. It is an intermediate project and a useful next step if you are building confidence with circular knitting.

Hazel wears size 2Y in Rose.

About the yarn

Unravelled Oi is 100% non-superwash Merino wool in 8ply (DK), with 112m per 50g ball. Its soft feel and clear stitch definition suit the textured double moss stitch.

Knitting level and time

Intermediate. Allow approximately 7 days, depending on your knitting pace.

Sizes and finished measurements

  • 1Y: chest width 29cm, total length 30cm. Kit includes 3 balls of Oi.
  • 2Y: chest width 31cm, total length 35cm. Kit includes 4 balls of Oi.
  • 3Y: chest width 34cm, total length 39cm. Kit includes 5 balls of Oi.

Measurements are approximate after blocking. Compare the finished measurements with a jumper that fits your child when choosing a size.

  • 3–5 × 50g balls of Unravelled Oi Merino, according to your chosen size and colour
  • 1x printed pattern, including all three sizes
  • 4x stitch markers
  • 1x leather-look handmade tag
  • 1x tapestry needle

With Needles option

  • 1x 3.75mm 40cm fixed circular
  • 1x 3.75mm 60cm fixed circular
  • 1x 4mm 40cm fixed circular
  • 1x 4mm 60cm fixed circular

plus 4mm double-pointed needles for the sleeves of the 1Y size.

    Moss jumper

    Finally finished was hard doing the sleeves. With so few stitches on a circular needle but got there turned out beautifully was very happy with the result 😃

    Mini Moss Jumper

    This will be the second time I've knitted this jumper. I love the wool and the pattern is so easy to follow. It's the first time I have knitted from the top down, but I loved it. The finished jumper is so gorgeous.
