A first blanket, made by you. Designed by Unravelled founder Sheryl Nicholson, the Penny & Oscar Chevron Blanket pairs a vintage-inspired chevron pattern with a contrasting edge.

Knit in soft Oi Merino, it is a thoughtful project for a new arrival and a keepsake to give with pride. The repeating chevrons create a gentle rhythm as you knit, with a video tutorial to guide you through the stitchwork.

  • Yarn: Unravelled Oi Merino, 8ply / DK, 50g / 112m per ball

Choose your size

  • Bassinette: Approximately 57 × 80cm. Includes 5 balls in the main colour and 1 ball in the contrast colour (6 balls total).
  • Cot: Approximately 75 × 90cm. Includes 8 balls in the main colour and 1 ball in the contrast colour (9 balls total).

  • Oi Merino yarn in your chosen colour combination and size
  • 1 printed pattern
  • 2 stitch markers
  • 1 tapestry needle
  • 1 leather-look sew-on 'handmade' tag
  • Access to an easy-to-follow video tutorial

Needles

Choose With Needles if you would like needles included with your kit.

  • 4mm circular knitting needles, 60cm or 80cm long

This blanket can also be knitted on straight needles.

    Impressed by the presentation box containing all that is needed for the blanket.

    The instructions and links to videos to show knitting stitches is handy.

    The wool is good quality and knits well.

    Good knit

    This is an easy knit, kind of. I would suggest putting markers in, and remember that the first group starts with a k1, and the last group ends with a k1.

    Also use lifelines. I missed an either a slip stitch over or k2t, and couldn’t fix my mistake. Had to rip out the 8 inches I had already made. 😢

    Penny & Oscar blanket

    Enjoying this knit , the pattern is an easy rhythm & love the visual effect as it’s growing . Soft beautiful yarn and a rewarding experience all round . Am taking longer to finish as just recently away on an active holiday so didn’t have the usual knitting time but home now & back into my relaxing routine

    So easy and so beautiful
