Knitting Process
The romper worked bottom-up on circular needles (no sewing). The bottom of the front is worked first, then the bottom of the back. Next, the body is knitted in the round while the top, front and back are worked separately. Lastly, the straps are worked from the back and buttons are attached.

The beanie is knitted flat (back and forth, not in the round) and then seamed up one side.

Romper and Beanie Merino

I just loved this little suit and thought it would be a really fitting gift for one of the 2 great grandbabies and /or a great Niece. I have started them but due to a failing eyesight I am having trouble knitting it up. I have put it aside for now and started on the Double Knit kits I bought at the same time. They are beautiful too but am hoping I will get time to finish the romper off later on as it really is so gorgeous and I know my grand daughters will really love them.

Such a cute little set

The wool is lovely and soft, perfect against a new baby’s skin and the pattern is clear and easy to follow, although I think there may be a misprint…I substituted M1R for M1L and vice Verdana in the increases at the leg to make a smoother fabric. The little hat will be made in several colours - a little more than an evening’s knitting in front of the TV.
